Russell Bundy(alto sax)

Russell Bundy is from Fredericksburg, Virginia, USA. He has been playing saxophone, flute, and clarinet for over 30 years.

Russell attend college at Greensboro College and University of Alabama at Huntsville, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in music performance jazz emphasis. He also received a master’s degree in jazz studies at University of South Carolina. He has also studied with Neill Clegg, Don Aliquo, Bert Ligons, Vincent Herring, Dr. Clifford Leaman, Bryson Borgstedt, Marshall McDonald.

Russell was part of the United States Army Band for 20 years before retiring in Japan September 2020.  He has performed all over the world, to include Germany, Korea, and Japan.  He is currently an active musician playing with small groups in a wide variety of styles in Sagamihara, Yokohama, and Tokyo areas.

Russell is married in Japan and has 2 boys who love to play soccer.  If he’s not playing music somewhere he’s going all over Japan watching his boys play soccer.

ラッセル・バンディー

アメリカ合衆国ヴァージニア州フレデリクスバーグの出身。30年以上サックス、フルートとクラリネットを演奏している。

グリーンズボロ大学とアラバマ大学ハンツビル校に通い、ジャズ演奏科の学士号を取得。さらにサウスカロライナ大学でジャズ研究の修士号を取得。ニール・クレッグ、ドン・アリクォ、バート・リゴンズ、ヴィンセント・ハーリング、Dr. クリフォード・リーマン、ブライソン・ボーグステット、マーシャル・マクドナルドに師事。

米国陸軍軍楽隊として20年間在籍し、2020年9月に日本で退役。この間ドイツ、韓国、日本を含む世界中で演奏する。現在相模原、横浜、東京の各地域でさまざまなスタイルのスモールグループで積極的に活動している。

日本で結婚し、サッカーが大好きな二人の息子がいる。演奏をしていない時は子供たちのサッカーを見るために日本中あちこちに行っている。
