Jim Scarle

Jim is from New Jersey, USA. He began playing trombone in 1972. He worked with the US Army Band for 15 years and finally settled in Japan in 1995. He took a long, 10- year break from trombone because he was too busy with work and family, but started playing again 2 years ago. He also enjoys playing piano, guitar, and photography as a hobby. He owns an English school in Sagamihara since 2005. He is a father of two (son and daughter), and grandfather of three, all living in Kanagawa. Jim loves living in Japan and playing with Zama Big Band.

ジム・スカーレ

ニュージャージー州出身。1972年よりトロンボーンを始める。

米陸軍軍楽隊で15年間演奏し、1995年から日本に定住する。

仕事と家庭が多忙だったためトロンボーンの演奏からは10年間離れていたが、2年前(2017年)から演奏を再開した。

トロンボーンだけでなく、ピアノ、ギターなども楽しんでいるほか、趣味で写真もたしなむ。

2005年から相模原で英会話スクールを営んでいる。

二人の子供(息子と娘)の父であり、3人の孫の祖父である。家族はみな神奈川県に住んでいる。

日本に住むことと、ZAMAビッグバンドで演奏することが大好きです。
